Mounting BMS to cells?

I bought a 7S, 150A, Daly BMS for the LiNMC battery pack I am building.

Question is should I mount the BMS directly to the cells to ensure the thermal sensor in the BMS is sensing the cell temperature directly? There isn't a separate temperature probe with the Daly BMS nor does it appear as though there is any place to plug one in.

I would say no, if a BMS doesn't have an external temperature probe and low temperature protection, then any temperature sensing it does have is probably designed to protect the BMS not the battery.

And as far as I know the Daly BMS doesn't have low temperature protection.

I am in Phoenix so high temperature protection is very important and low temp is unimportant.
