A smart charger will not give cell data.
I just finished hooking up a 300 A Daly smart bms with BLue Tooth interface to a iphone.
I ordered this BMS from the Daly Store. It installed easy and worked out of the box.
There are so many options for communications I believe each one has a different firmware set.
So carefully look at the different configurations on Ali-express. I also ordered the BT module ($4) on the same order. The configuration is easy and i will post the config screens in the next couple of days. The low temperature cut off works and can be set from below freezing to well above.
I am only building a 2000 watt system but like all things electronic from China, there ratings are over esatated, Buy big/ build smaller.

Good to hear , l went for a 200 A , the most it'll have to deal with is an inverter ran small microwave , otherwise basic 12v caravan stuff ( fridge is gas when not shore powered )

Nice to hear and looking forward. I have one question on your Bluetooth connection. The dongle has connection cable. Is this mini USB connection on dongle side. I might try to use this cable for connecting to my laptop instead the dongle. Will it work?

Did you do any testing to confirm that it has the low temperature disconnect? There seems to be a ton of competing opinions on that

I have one correction my Bms is a 200 A model.

Good progress. I have 100A 12 V Daly BMS and see strange behavior. I set low cutoff voltage as 2.5 V ( Total 10V) but it seems to be cutoff at 11.6.
Thus I set to 2.95 (Total 11.8) and then it cutoff at 13V. I check the voltage with my multimeter and looks consistent. Have you tried this type of test?

I have been playing with the 12v 280ah battery pack without a BMS (while sitting there monitoring it) for several weeks. Learned a few things during that time. It may be obvious to some but here is what i learned.
1. The bus bar connections between the batteries and cables to the inverter are critical. They must be tight! The problem is that the aluminum battery connections are very easy to strip. After stripping several, I found these threaded studs at McMaster-Carr. Drilled and tapp the connector , installed the stud and now have about a .001 volt drop at 100A across each connection.

I dont know. If works on a pc. You can do everything with the phone app

Sorry that I ask so stupidly. How did you turn the bolts in? First with the long threaded side or with the short? Is the short thread not too short?
Would you please have a photo where I can see how a screwed in bolt looks like in the battery cell and one which shows the busbars.
Thank you very much
Otte

I bought the 150 with seperate port. Finaly its arrived, but there is no port for the bleutooth dongle ?!
There is a plastic cap or something where the port should be. Tried to remove it without damaging but that seems impossible..

Mind providing a link to the studs you purchased?

Hi Varney,
Thanks for posting - very helpful
Could you post your link for purchase and how long delivery took.
Much appreciated

They have a seperate USB cable that plugs into a different port. While it looks like a USB connection on the bluetooth, I wouldn't count on it working.

Varney,
Could you confirm if you requested charging and discharging limits to be set at factory or is this a standard setup.
Thanks again

Mine does not behave that way. Setting 2.5v indeed changes to 10v disconnect.

Mine were factory set to 280 amps, because I told them the size. You can change them, no problem.
