I have three 100ah lfp batteries to parallel to busbars.
24” seems about right. 3 red and 3 black.
If red gets mrbf terminal fuse should red wires
be shorter than black??
Thank you

I’ll say I don’t know the answer but had the same question. What I did was measure the length of my fuse and subtracted that from the length of the red wire. BatteryCablesUSA.com made this easy as you can order cables by the inch and choose your specific lug connections (5/16”, 3/8”, etc)

So if the red is three feet and the black is nine feet, that’s not an issue?
The total electrical resistance is red + black which is why if you disconnect the black (negative) you no longer have power :) People seem confused by this that it is the total length of red + black that matters like @sunshine_eggo said not just one color.

Ah OKAY! I get it now, thank you!

Let's say you need a total of 4 feet of cable to connect each of three batteries to bus bars:

Battery 1: red: 1 foot, black 3 feet
Battery 2: red: 1.5 foot, black 2.5 foot
Battery 3: red: 3 foot, black 1 foot.

Since the sum of EACH battery's cables is 4 feet, the circuit resistance will be the same.

Thank you I appreciate that. Can you help with the gauge?
