Precharge resistor

I just bought these twist-in 48v bulbs for one of my old legacy style automotive testlights, just tried it out the other day and it works great. The light is great because it also gives that visual indicator to let you know when light is dimmed to nothing, caps are charged.


I tested the light on a 58v battery charging on absorption and it works fine, looks like it could go even brighter if I went to higher voltages. Also still lights up at 24v too, a little dimmer.

I checked the ohms on the new bulb and it shows about 91 Ω
