EG4 Battery and Precharge Resistor Circuit How-to

Seems to be a lot of questions about the built in Pre-charge resistor in the EG4 LiFePower4 Batterys. Two things can clear this up for you.

1. From the Docs PDF file that you can find at the Signature Solar web site. Intitled EG4-LiFepower4 Manual-2.1.0.pdf. LINK http://eg4electronics.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/11/EG4-Lifepower4-Manual-2.1.0.pdf This one is for the 48V batt. You'll find others there for the other voltage batteries.
Here on page 6 you'll find this:

"Precharge Resistor Circuit
EG4 lifepower4 batteries are designed with an internal precharge resistor to assist in starting large inverters"... Then on to number 5
5 Turn all battery breakers on. (this activates the precharge resistor). "

You should read the whole section in that PDF and note that the breaker that feeds the inverter from the Battery string is ON. I was going to copy and paste it to this thread but it doesn't work.. copywrite?.. Anyhow.. I placed the links for you

Using the built in procedure is safer than using your hands to hold a resistor to apply power to the inverter to charge up the caps.
