Seplos CAN BUS RS485 48v 200A 8S-16S BMS

Yes, that I do get too because it does get some data from your first battery, but can't make heads or tails of the data
I see that it's taking SOC from the second pack and not the inverter. For some reason my second pack discharges slower than the master.
Inverter is currently on 76% SOC and SA is on 80% SOC. Is there a setting for this as well?

What are people’s experience with the bluetooth connection to the app? I find that (at least on my iPhone 12), I need to be right in front of the BMS for the bluetooth to connect. When I’m in a adjacent room, it’s already a challenge.

Bluetooth is poor for seplos. I can get about 8 foot from it. If going through brick it has range of 5feet. Jk bms and neey Bluetooth much stronger like 20feet 14ft through brick.

reading through the above it appears as though there is an issue adding a second seplos battery to a sunsynk inverter? i already have a 280L (14.3kw) and was looking to add another in the next month or so. is the issue that you cant read the battery data or is it that the functionality is affected and you cant use the batteries to their full capacity.

i assumed (a bad idea generally) that i could just link the batteries together and then add comms cable between the two batteries and i would be able to fully utilise the two batteries (which would be one large one?) and view data or make alterations?

(ps @houseofancients the earlier issue i had re not appearing to be charging fully overnight seems to have resolved itself ...)

there is not a single issue using multiple batteries at all with sunsynk/deye/sol-ark communications
i have 8 packs connected.

the only issue is specific to Solar assistant and external monitoring

Can anyone tell me if the bus voltage should be different from the battery voltage?

Hi guy´s, I havent´been here for a while - now a questions (Seplos BMS first Generation (1101-SP16) with SW-Version 2.7):

When there is no full-charge a few days my SOC jumps from 90 to 100% on the next sunny day with full charge. In other words: My SOC is sinking about 3% every day without a full charge. So i think the current-shunt calibration is not correct, right? Or is that negligible?

Is it difficult to calibrate the shunt?

Hi, has anyone had a recent firmware upgrade for a 10D (rs485) recently from Seplos? I have a couple of 10D's I'm trying to get to play nicely with 2 10E's and thought I'd see if they had an update as they haven't had one for a long time. Anyway, they sent over CAN1101[FW30_HW15_PN01_220907_ULTK]-SP50X.ehex saying that they this works for both CAN and RS485. Other firmware I have for the 10D starts RS not CAN. I double checked and they say this is correct for a 10D. I don't want to brick them so thought I'd best see if anyone else has tried this?

These would be very close. Battery voltage is the cell pack voltage. Bus voltage is the voltage on the BMS output to the inverter. If low current is flowing these are extremely close. If large current is flowing the difference is caused by the resistance introduced from the wires, pack and the connections between the BMS and the cells.

All of the above is correct if the BMS has not disconnected the battery pack. If it has done that the difference will be higher with no current flowing.

Hello,

Newbie here.

I have recently built a Seplos / Mason battery using the V3 BMS and active balancer.

I decided to update the FW to the latest version, since doing this:

i) I can no longer connect to the BMS from my PC (using same cable and settings as before)
ii) The BMS does not stay switched on, I have to hold the reset button in for the display to stay active, I can then toggle through the menus but the contents are all missing (e.g. cell Voltages = 0 which is not possible as the BMS is powered from somewhere)

Any suggestions on how to recover things? I have emailed Seplos and Fogstart (kit vendor)

Thanks

Ben

Was it ever working before or first time

Are you sure that you have a V3, most of these battery boxes are still shipping with the V2/10E version.
I would like to have thought you couldn't put the wrong firmware on but it doesn't seem promising.
