Would appreciate some critical feedback before I submit this to PGE. A few questions that come to mind:
  1. Is the Sol-Ark 15k oversized for 13.6kW? I like the 200A load and whole house backup. Sol-Ark 12k might work but it's gonna be harder with my meter/main which is obsolete and only has 2 branch breakers, no main breaker. Trying to avoid upgrades to the meter/main because it's going to be very expensive. I think I can use the 15k without touching the meter/main
  2. I've ordered a pallet (31) of SolarEver 455W PV modules. Designers say the number of PV modules must be even. Is there any way to use my 31st PV module? Or should I keep it as a spare. It hasn't shipped yet so the order could still be cancelled.
  3. Kind of worried PGE will tell me the system is too big - estimated 20,000 kWh annual production vs ~5,000 kWh consumption in the past year. But I am planning to add 2 EVs and a 5 ton of heat pump to replace the gas furnace.
  4. I can fit 5 PV modules on the SW plane, 6/12 pitch, 225 azimuth, best sunlight exposure on the whole roof. Is it worth moving some modules there?
  5. I'm worried that string C is too close to the gutter (5") and will allow rain to run over it. Drainage on that side of the foundation is sensitive. Valid concern? Any products to direct water down into the gutter?
Thank you in advance

Give Sol-Ark a call and email them this info.
They can take a quick look and tell you if there are any glaring problems.
I am hesitant to say anything about a project in California because they have so many regulations.
