Think they are better than last time? They cost a bit above half of a 48v server rack lifepo4 battery, but "double" the capacity.. Look at the voltage charts in previous thread though.

Reading the thread, it sounds like they need to cost about 1/4 to maybe 1/3 of what they are going for.. considering they will probably die early (compared to lifepo4) and don't produce as much.

Works out to $1300 for less than 5 usable KWH and likely. 1500 cycles and probably less than 1000.

About 5 years ago I picked up dozens of pallets of the EnerSys version of them for $75 per battery when a local battery company thinking about getting into utility scale storage abandoned that idea. Resold them all and still get the occasional call from happy customers.

Yup Ive been looking into them since I posted and it seems crucial to their expected service life to charge them fast with high amperage to keep them healthy. Guess I need to keep looking for LiPo batteries .
