Hello there folks!

I made a small mistake buying fuses and ended up with a mismatch in the fuse and fuse holder.

What I have:
200A Class T Fuse
225-400A Class T Fuse holder.
I thought I had purchased the 110-100A version, but I guess I made a mistake!

My question is, can I use these 2 together, or will the difference in amperage be an issue?

*Not sure if this should be here or in the beginner's section, sorry to the mods if this is the wrong place!

From what you have written, looks like your fuse holder is designed to hold higher amp fuses. Seems like that would mean your holder is more robust. Will your fuse fit in the holder? Pictures?

Hopefully this bump will trigger a member versed in this.

You bought the wrong size fuse holder. I heard someone drilled the fuse to fit the holder, but I wouldn't recommend that.

As long as the holder is rated higher than the fuse, it is OK. It is the connection that is the problem.

Wanted to jump back here to thank you for the answers!
I did read this earlier on and facepalmed at the simple "does it fit" test. It didn't - not properly at least. I looked back at the dimensions and the larger capacity class-T fuses are actually...slightly larger (61.91mm vs 69.85mm), luckily I was able to swap it out.

So, thanks muchly for the help!
