using load capaciter test for first time

hi i just hooked up my cooler master load capactiy tester to my 12 volt 100 amp lifepoe batter it said it was good up to 185 watts and 20 amp but i couldnt not get it there so i did 180 watts at 15 amp after about 30 minutes the terminals got very hawt almost burnt my finger so i turned it down to 120 watts and 10amps it seems to be a little cooler but if im correct the terminals shouldnt get that hawt should they im using the wire that came with it with the alligator clamps

Not the best way to be trying to load test. Use cables with lugs you can bolt to the battery terminals.

yea it turns out it was the wire gauge what came with the load tester was not good for 15 volts so i used 18 gauge connected to battery clamps and did it at 120 watts and 10 amps heat was fine
