I searched threads and couldn't find pertinent info, but please excuse me if this is a re-hash.

Navigating the Victron world is sensory overload, so I will ask the experts.

What Victron components would it take to approximate a Sol-Ark 15K?
Thanks in advance.

Now the question becomes, what do you mean by "approximate?" Just basic features like PV power, AC output power, etc.?
I don't care about certifications.
Yes, the approximate features.
Components that would make it do approximately what the Sol-Ark can do.
I know it will not be completely apples to apples.

You'd need:

MPPT, depending on your Voc needs:
3X 150/100 or
3X 250/100 or
1X RS450/200 & 1X RS450/100 or
3X RS 450/100

The above options give you about 18kW of PV

Inverter:
Quattros if you need dual AC inputs
Multiplus/Multiplus II if one AC input is fine
If using 120VAC units, you'd need 2X to form 120/240VAC split phase and you're targeting 12kW
If using 230VAC EU units (configured for 240VAC/60Hz), you can pair with an Autotransformer for 120/240VAC split phase output.

Options:
2X Quattro 48/5000 or 2X MP-II 48/5000 for 120/240VAC split phase 10kW
You could go overboard and do 2X Quattro 48/10kW for 120/240VAC split phase 20kW
A single MP-II/15kW (EU version) with an autotransformer for 120/240VAC split phase 15kW

Battery monitor:
Lynx shunt, BMV-702 or 712 with temp sensor, smartshunt with temp sensor

Cerbo GX

MK3-USB adapter for programming.

UTP and/or VE.Direct cables for Cerbo connections.

Lynx stuff if you want it.

EG4, SOK, Trophy, Pylontech (15S - avoid) and similar server rack batteries can do closed loop comms with Cerbo.

could use VRM for remote download/upload of settings for the ve.bus inverters. I think only thing you'd lose versus mk3 dongle is the live numbers for voltage and DC ripple?

No.

You can't put inverters in parallel via remote VEConfigure. It must be done directly. Once configured thusly, you can make changes like enabling/disabling "switch as group".

Sounds like I’m going to have to get a cheap laptop to get split phase out of two Quattros. Is that correct? Thanks

VictronConnect on Android can use a MK3-USB-C adapter to parallel them.

Or this, but you have to buy both:

If you get them from current connected they can pre program the pair to your requirements so you just have to hook them up.

Victron do have ul listing.

Oh that's great news looks like the Quattro 48/10000 120V was approved on the 18th of June. Technically I think only those units produced after that date are eligible for the mark.

The UL listed multiplus 2 48/3000 was already known, and we are still waiting for the mp2 48/5000 to get the approval.

Yes the larger SCCs are approved. But he may have to wait a few months for UL listed Quattro 48/10000s to be available to purchase (only units built after the 18th of June being eligible). In the US the UL listed and non UL listed mp2 48/3000s are sold alongside each other.

Yes, when ordering a Multiplus 48/3000 UL, be sure to explicitly specify you want the UL. There is (or was when I ordered almost a year ago) a price difference.

I imagine this will apply for the new UL Quattro's referenced above.
