Today, I connected to my Victron 150/35 MPPT via Bluetooth and Victron Connect.

It indicated that it had a Bluetooth update, which I completed.

After restarting VictronConnect, it now said it had a firmware update. Being bold, (foolish?), I let it update. So far so good. But later in the day, I used VRM to ask if I had any updates to do.

I was told that for the MPPT, I had firmware version 1.63, (the one I updated to), but that the latest was only 1.61.

Hmmm. I guess VRM hasn't been told of the update yet? I'm probably going to sign up for a Victron Professional account to see changelogs/release notes if it doesn't cost anything....I know the risks associated with firmware updates. I haven't had any issues since the update.

I figured it out.

I recently upgraded my Android version of VictronConnect to 6.03.

With this version, it allows you to update a Bluetooth Driver and firmware for some MPPTs to 1.63. The 1.63 MPPT firmware is NOT (yet?) available in VRM firmware updates. Hence VRM shows an earlier 'latest' release for my MPPT, even though it shows 1.63 as my current version.

New feature in 1.63 appears to be 'Settings Lock'.
