Victron updates

I’m in the process of acquiring my victron system for installation this fall.

I’ll have a Quattro or two, a Victron MPPT, Lynx, Cerbo, etc.

I vaguely recall that the victron software on my Quattro, and maybe on the not yet purchased, MPPT will need to update when I first commission it. Is this correct?

I wonder if it makes sense to go ahead and hook up one of my rack batteries to the Quattro (and later the mppt) while they are at home and allow those updates to take place while I have access to Wi-Fi?

Out at the place the only access I will have all be over the cell phone connection.

What’s the smart move here?

The software updates are contained within the VictronConnect app. This means as long as your software on your phone is updated, you can update devices, even if there is no Internet.
