What size generator to run my well pump?

Yea, this is slightly off topic. Hopefully thats not a problem. I've got a 1 1/2 hp 240V Goulds well pump that's rated at 2000 running watts that would be way too expensive to try and run on solar. I know startup watts is going to be way more but I don't find that info in the specs. I need to figure out what size generator I need to run it. Any help is greatly appreciated.

A quick Google search suggested 2,000 Watts as a ballpark. You might need details about how high the lift and whether the pump has or can be equiped with a soft starter. I watch a well pump Youtube channel and a local well installer might be resource.
Another Google search found this1.5 Gould pump with a separate controller that reduced the startup surge.
