If that is @timselectric Roof ! - he is the only one I have seen that cut holes in (defective) panels, sure turned out well!
Not sure how a working PV panel could be trimmed, I mean think about how we work to get Series and Parallel set up, how in the world would this work if you can cut a bit off a panel? How would the connections be repaired in the panel? how would the cut edges be supported?

They would have to be engineered for each specific application. Which translates to very, very, very expensive.
