Why are these fans so Freaking Noisy?

You could always swap the fans out for quieter versions but these can be expensive. Toriodal shaped fans are super quite but can be say £30 each.

The 15k, at least mine, comes on at what sounds like full throttle and then drops a bit within seconds but holds steady until it goes off.

I wonder if it sees the temps spiking, it thinks its going to overshoot and throttle, so the full speed at first to prevent the overshoot, and then the slow ramp down to maintain temp?

It's not really a slow ramp down, maybe 5 seconds to the level it stays at until off again.

Replace with squirrel cage fans.

Agreed on checking temperatures. My hotspot seems to be 100F on the LCD display. Hardly panicking over that.
