Why separate PV isolator for 6000XP?

I am considering installing a EG4 6000XP. Reading through the manual I noted that it stipulates the installation of a separate PV circuit breaker/isolator switch in addition to one integrated into the unit. Why? Seems like the integrated switch is being touted as a convenience and money saver. Why then does the manual require a redundant switch? Thanks in advance for you help!

It may be referring to adding more strings and bringing them together before attaching to the unit?

Could be that they want a way to ensure no power is inside the unit. Even if you turn off the integrated one there is still PV voltage at the terminals.

Just a guess.

BTW, PV combiner boxes will have a way to do this.
