I have a Reliable 2500 watt inverter that came with the two thin positive wires and two negative wires. There are no markings on them and I'm wondering if Making #6 wire cables would be better than what came with the inverter? Have some #6 and the right ends.

I make it 61.274509804 amps at 48 volts.
By the numbers you can go as low as 8 awg.
6 awg would be better of course.
This assumes 105C wire.

The smartphone app allows more voltage choices.

What options are you inputting on the calculator to get 2/0? I'm not questioning your results, just trying to understand the selection for my own purposes.

Input circuit = 12.0v
Load current = 245.1a (2500/0.85/12)
Length of conductor = 5'
Allowable voltage drop = 3%
Type of load = variable
Wire insulation terminal rating = 105 degrees C
Termination on a fuse = checked

I get AWG 1.

12 feet round trip
load fixed
duration 360
A bit conservative but there it is.

0 is probably ok but I tend to be fairly conservative when I'm spending other people's money.
