Shenzhen Basen vs Shenzen Luyuan Lifepo4?

That's what I would do. At this point in time I am not comfortable recommending the group buy even though your savings would be in excess of $100.00. The best option above all others, IMO, would be to order directly from EVE. Their prices have come down. As always with any supplier ask lots of questions, including if ordering directly from the manufacturer.
Is there a direct link to EVE?

I ordered 8X EVE from Basen on 8/17, scheduled to arrive 8/24. $1216 so not a deal, but actually cheaper than some vendors quoting from China including Luyuan.Chat with Emily and place an order.

I'd say there are many of us waiting to see your report. I hope you do receive them by 8/24, but I hope you will report even if you don't.

I paid just over $800.00 for my 8 EVE cells including shipping when I ordered from the group buy last August, a year ago. They are commodity cells and not capacity matched. But what I received for the price I paid was a bargain. No damage at all and the lowest capacity cell tested at 272ah's. Around $118.00 per kwh.

Gazoo -- where are you getting $109 for a price? I clicked that link and they have the 280's for $128.50. If your price is being quoted from a year ago then that might be way out of date and not the reality of today. Or maybe I am looking in the wrong place.

Stepandwolf - can you provide a link to where you ordered please? Are those matched grade A cells?

I'm not opposed to exploring any of these options, but if realistically we are at about $550-$600 for an unmatched set of 4 directly from the supplier then I am leaning towards a matched set from Amy for $650. If Stepandwolf's deal is quick, matched, grade A, genuine cells...then that might be the deal to consider otherwise.

You would have to ask Alkaline. Evidently EVE was running a promotion for the LF280K but I can't find it. As far as I know the LF280K is the latest version. The LF280N preceded it.

The price a year ago for EVE cells was at least double the prices listed now. EVE recently lowered the pricing.

$162.00 for usa shipping within the usa.... no thanks! At that price one would go and pick them up in person.

BTW these are now grade A stock, they are Grade B, B-. True grade A have 286-292 AH.

According to the video they posted.

I suspect that is a real amount to ship heavy boxes in the US....let me put the pricing into context.

I can only compare my quotes:
Basen EVE China $1194
Basen EVE US $1216
Luyuan China $1246
Taico EVE China $1149
UNIS EVE China $1225
Bian EVE China $1210
Jidian CATL China $1054
Tianshilihe Lishen China $1163

So you can see that getting EVE in the US for $1216 competes with pretty much all the prices from China. Why would I want to pay $67 less for the cheapest other quote from a vendor I have no relationship with?

I will ask about the video. Don't know if that video is for these batteries, or just meant to be a sample of how they test.

Battery are grade A and brand new with QR code
Maybe I missed it but do you know which model they are selling? As you know someone was selling EVE's in the batteries for sales section of the forum and it turned out he was selling LF280K EVEs. And the cells came from Basen.

I love good detective work!

I think the ones that were coming from China were N but I don't think we nailed down what these were. The story, take it for what it's worth, was that they got a shipment in (China) and immediately dispatched a portion of that inventory to the US for people like me who don't want to wait.

Someone contended that there were batteries as old as 2019 out there and being sold as new. When I asked about it, she said:

"The goods in the overseas warehouse were produced in June this year, and EVE 280AH is very popular. It is impossible for the goods of last year to be sold this year, and EVE 280AH has been out of stock from March to July this year"

From that I take it that they are buying from EVE, EVE was out, and then EVE made batteries in June which these are supposed to be.

She then said:
"The goods were shipped from China to the United States at the end of June and arrived at the overseas warehouse in mid-August"

Made by EVE in June, obtained by Basen and shipped to the US in June, arrived in August and now will be at my house in two days. That is pretty darned quick if they shipped end of June and were in their warehouse mid-August...basically 6-7 weeks.

Regarding the other batteries being sold, and I assume you mean the individual, were sold as Basen and sleuthed to be EVE 280 K. It happens that I asked them about those batteries, not mentioning who the seller here was, and they said they did come from them, but from a batch that they no longer had. They made no connection between that batch and what they are getting now.

BTW, someone said the 3-digit code on the QR label was a date code, but no one knew how to interpret it. She said the date is not on the QR label.

what exactly is your relationship with Basen? The link you sent are for Grade A-/ B+ cells they are not factory matched cells that match Luyuan. I have those cells, I ran a test on a DC electronic load, they tested to 287 AH on average with the lowest being 285AH.

I HAVE NEVER seen anything coming from Basen be any where close, in fact if you luckily hit 280AH it is cause for celebration because that is rare. More than likely you are going to be int he 270-275 range. GRADE A- / B+ at best

The same can be said about QSO, Dongan Lighting, and other sellers. Basen just believes they can bs there way and charge the same as Luyuan which is total nonsense.

If you are paying more than $500.00 shipped for a set of 4 for these you are being bambozeled. Certainly not worth the $650 Basen wants. NO way!

Basen or Luyuan are a moot point now that EVE is selling direct and has $109 LF280K cells this is cheaper than either of them plus you are getting it directly form the manufacturer.

for an extra $1.00 they will get them stud welded for you.

I would not be paying more than $135.00 shipped for the LF280K/cell or $540.00 for a set of them shipped.
Have you had any luck dealing with the EVE alibaba store?
I've been trying to get a quote off them for the past week and its terribly slow. I asked for a standard quote with all the usual information as one would do to Luyuan or Basen etc. Over the next day i get some "What is your email I will send you some information about our company" stuff. Then general questions about what the batteries are for.
After 2 days, Jeffery replies with "USD 2473 by air" and nothing else. No quote for the cells or anything.
I'm clarifying asking for sea freight for my 42 batteries. Bit more talk about the terminals etc which takes another few days.
Now been waiting 3 days to get a sea freight quote. Also the price they quoted " The promotion price is usd 117.29/pcs." is not the price you seem to be getting at $109 per cell....
Just wondering your experience with them?

I bought my cells from a local RV dealer, they are making custom packs to fit in Class A rvs. I bought 16 cells from them I can't disclose the price but it was cheaper than from anywhere, luyuan, basen.

They are handling the freight using a freight forwarder that picks up the battery from their Hangzhou. Jeffery Liu WILL give you a BS air freight quote, also you must buy in multiples of 6 and tell him you will have a freight forwarder pick it up, plenty on alibaba that can do it for you.

Tell him you are looking for 12 or 18, or 24, 36 cells with studs.

If all else fails, then I would pressure anyone else selling LF280K to match the price from EVE officially if you rather not deal with EVE directly. Yes there shipping is sucking right now, but still good for leverage...

WHICH MEANS any seller asking $125 for LF280, or LF280N is out of their flipping mind, you should not be paying more than $100 for LF280N now grade A new yadada (we all know they are actually B+ stock), regardless of how much they cry about.

So who is this RV dealer that is selling Grade A EVE for less than luyuan, basen?
Can we see the pictures and test results of these cells?

They are not selling to the public, they don't have enough to service there own demand. I got my cells from them when the ordered but they were royally screwed over by Basen who sold them supposedly grade A cells which were testing any where 265 up to 280, with the majority of them in the mid to 270s. Basen told them to pound sand demanded they get professional equipment (WHICH THEY HAD) and Alibaba just laughed. Stupidly paid with bank account because it was a large order.

My involvement in this is only because I install security cameras and was setting up some Hikvision cams in there lobby; they got into this mess when I told them about a Xuba Order I placed last year and how it was 1/3 the cost of battle born. At the time of the order Xuba was out of stock and Basen seemed to be all the rage (this was around April) so I said hey this looks good.

Yes I will get a CSV file of the discharge report done on an electronic load in a day or 2.
