I did a 24 hour test of my 2 fridges in my toy hauler. this is measured at the 12v battery using a 1000w inverter no other DC loads.
Absorption fridge - 514ah (6737wh)
compressor fridge - 74ah (984wh)
people have said absorption is more efficient... no way.. maybe in the 70s when natural...
I see up with the oem small wire vs 10 guague wire with ring ends.
with the 10g wire the power supply is putting out 5 more amps and running on current limit
with the small wire there was a .3 volt drop on the wire
I made a 560ah 12v battery and installed it in my RV. I am not going to remove it for storage so I figured out you can create custom charge profiles in my Victron SCC...
I labeled one for "storage" and set to 13.33v (about 35%-40% so about 200ah) which should help my shelf life especially in...
So 2 years ago built a 12v 560AH 2P4S battery with 720w solar and 1000w inverter on my RV..
now upgrading to a 24v 280ah 8S battery with 1800w solar and a growwatt 3000 inverter
I am building 2 batteries (272AH) with 2 120A BMS. How much stress will it put on my BMS? It does pull 245A for a split second. then quickly goes way below 100A.
Lifepo4 Prismatic Cell 3.2v 280ah Lithium Lifepo4 Cell For Solar System - Buy Lifepo4 Prismatic Celi,Lithium Lifepo4 Cell,Lifepo4 Cell...
So what it is doing is charging maximum of 60A. so let's say I have no solar I charge with 60 amps from the grid... but when I add solar let's say 700w. my grid charge will go down to 30A and get 30A from solar... I have max charge set to 140A
so I have been running a 24v 200A JK BMS for 9 months working great. last week it failed ... happened during 18F here in Texas... I checked on it 2 days later... working. I logged into it and it disconnected and app showed cell mismatch. so I disconnected it from the battery abs reconnect and...
Anyone install one of these? Seems interesting and efficient. thinking maybe as supplemental cooling to my roof AC
$900 isn't cheap but mount under the RV instead of a mini spilt condenser hanging off the side
is says using smart shunt voltage but it isn't and ideal why not?
also after a deep discharge (like under 10%) smartshunt loses its state of charge..
any ideas
I have 45v-305w panels currently in series with a victron 100/50. everything works great
question is will my SCC run any cooler with my panels in parallel (lower voltage)? will it effect my daily output?
thank you
