FPL Maximum array size!

From FPL Net metering application page. "The system production is larger than your annual energy usage. The system size must be reduced prior to FPL approval."
I am being told by FPL that my project may not be approved unless I reduce the size of the array. I currently have a whopping 6ea. 330W panels and am looking to add another 6ea. 340W panels and an enphase 10T battery. In a nutshell they want the array to be smaller than 115% of annual kWh production. Link: https://www.fpl.com/clean-energy/net-metering/guidelines.html
Today I was contacted by an FPL representative. This individual attempted to talk me out of installing both solar and batteries for my property. I am now certain FPL is being hurt by rooftop solar and has no intention of helping its customers.
As the conversation progressed the topic of a minimum bill came up where I expressed I didn't like being charged for power I wasn't consuming, at which point, the representative said "well you could always disconnect". I couldn't believe her. She was goading me.
I, and many others, have posted many threads about going off grid. This isn't necessarily one of those threads. I will be proceeding with my system addition as planned as I already have a significant investment in the project. I don't think I'll have a problem getting it approved as my neighbor just had a whopping 44 panels installed on a single family residence(no EV, no Pool, heat pump hot water, three residents). That's appx. 25MWh a year...

Thanks for reading. I will be posting results when there is additional info.

Yeah Florida has been really weird about solar power for a very long time, I feel like FPL was stalling until they figured out what they were going to do.
However they are less arseholy than many other electric companies.

Did you ask if they care if you have zero export function enabled?

Don’t worry FPL’s generation arm NextEra is also one of the nation’s leading renewable asset owner.

Now you can see their true motives.

Well that amounted to a big nothing burger. We submitted the county inspection and in ten days got our permission to operate. The only goal to placing the big red warning banner at the top of the application page was to seed doubt and hopefully dissuade people from installing a larger system. Im hear to say you never have enough solar and batteries. Go big, you’ll find a load for all that energy and capital F FPL.

Yep, that's florida flicker and flash. Remember the late 90's, they tried to emulate Enron and what happened to them. Then the fpl lobbyists wrote an anti solar bill in 2022. Fortunately the governor did the right thing and vetoed it.
