Been reading a lot of mixed reviews on these boards about Ducan and EzEal supplier, but since they are close by to me, decidedd to try out 16 of the "v3" EVE lf280k. Got them home, did 8s config charge without BMS monitoring each cell to see if any of them jumps out. So far, charging went well with no issues. Pulled one of the batteries out of the series to do a load test. It is still going at 20ah constant load with cut off at 3.0v (started at 3.37v as to not overcharge), however at this given time it is at 3.225v with 805.2ah measured at 244AH. So far, seems pretty promissing.

Now for one issue however: Test Reports. EzEal has published test reports, however none of my batteries are on them. I let them know and they "requested" updated report from EVE which they sent to me today. Still, my battereis are not there. All of the reports they have sent have prefix of 04QCB768, with 8th position being and "8". However, all of my batteries have prefix of 04QCB76G with 8th position being a "G".

I let them know this and still waiting for answer, however its a bit troubling. Has anyone seen any EVE reports with 04QCB76G as prefix of serial numbers? Decoder states production June 30 23.

Can you post a nice close up of the QR code?

Did you purchase from docan or ezeal?

Ezeal directly and later on today they sent me report and it included my battery packs. Here is QR. not the best angle and will try to shoot it better tomorrow.

Did my own test of charging, letting the battery sit and sattled at 3.37v. Ran constant load until cell hit 3.0v with results of 287ah and 939ah. The voltage range I used should represent about 85% of maximum capacity. Even if we use 90% number, that brings me to 318ah. On the provided report, it was rated at 317ah, which seems to be correct. So far, seems so good.

The test reports are unverifiable and easily faked. It's just an excel spreadsheet. I don't see why everyone's so interested in them.

What's important to me is are the cells not bloated, not sanded, not too old, not damaged, and correctly welded.

I believe all of our cells failed EV spec for some reason, unless you got them out of an EV pack, so important part is just making sure they were good enough for EVE to let out the side door without a defaced QR. EVE has an incentive to deface the worse fails, for their reputation.

Well as I have posted the test results, they are far exceeding the specified capacity, and was pleasantly surprised to see my results align with the provided spreadsheet. Also at nearly full charge (without any compression), there was almost no deformation or bloating. So a very satisfying first purchase.

So are their 280's V3's now then or did you have to special arrange for that assurance? They should update their website.

Single post stud or dual hole?

Single stud but according to them V3 280, which for sure looks like it. Production dates (if we trust the qr) show summer of 2023.
I searched high and low to get to the bottom of this stud vs double thread post, and can’t really figure it out. What it seems to me is that all these suppliers get the cells without anything welded on the terminals and they choose their own terminal style. Some weld on the pretty double threaded terminal and some go with simple stud. Even though mounting is not double threaded, it doesn’t mean it’s not v3. That’s just how I understand it.
However, welds on these batteries I received are perfect. Seems to be good proper penetration and just very smooth and “pretty”.

Some people say EVE offers in house welding, and that they use the two hole terminals. Doesn't mean single stud isn't authentic, just that it was done after EVE sold the cell. Mine are single stud too and it's fine. I'm a little scared of snapping one but ok so far.

Do you have octagon terminal bases or teardrop shape? The plastic surround under the terminal.

Yep that is what I have heard too. Wish EVE would make a statement to clarify their product but that’s just wishful. And yes, I’m assembling my first pack this weekend (once finish building a wall box) and snapping terminals is for sure one thing I’m afraid.

They are for sure octagon type. Didn’t know their were multiple types.

That’s a nice capacity!!

Price was the same as offered online or was there any discount picking up in store?

I’d be happy with that purchase and results, good job.

Worked out a $88 per unit price picked up plus 3% card fee (no fee for cash but I love my points, and easier to write off for business). So over all great deal I think

Setup a business account with them since might need them later for another project….but the first set is going as ESS
