sub panel

Hi, I have a Homeline sub panel and I am wondering if I can hardwire it from an inverter to the sub panel or do I need a main panel with a bonding screw. My latest Idea is to buy a small main panel and use a double pole breaker to feed the sub panel. I'm wondering about the neutral and how it works with an inverter. Maybe this helps other confused people also. This is for a stand-alone off-grid setup.

If it has no bonding screw and you want it to act like a main panel I would just jump ground to neutral with a 10 or 8 awg wire.

It depends on if the inverter does the bond internally.
If not, then you need to do it at the loads panel.
As hwy17 said, just add a jumper wire between the neutral and ground.
The screw is just convenient, not a requirement.

I use a Samlex EVO-4024 Inverter/Charger outputting 120V.
Inverter AC goes to a Square-D QO2L70S Breaker Box with a 45A Breaker then to a Square-D QO6L100S sub-panel using 1/2 sized breakers.
Because I am 120VAC only the Breaker box is "Jumpered" to make it 120V across.
AC is all Bonded together, every breaker box has Bonding Screws/bars for grounding.

Excellent point.

Square-D makes a large array of products. It is provided by the big box stores and on-line and has been my go-to box for distribution purposes.

I've looked at that 70s, and considered that with a double pole breaker to feed the sub panel 220. I just wonder about the neutral. My Chinese inverter has a hard wire attachment. I keep learning as I go along. My sub-panel is enough for my use. six spaces. I've also considered buying an inverter with ac in and feeding it power from this inverter. Thanks for the replies, maybe this helps others.
