The SunGoldPower SG48100P battery is basically an equivalent to the SOK (although SOK claims a custom BMS), I have five and like them better than the six EG4 LifePower4 batteries I also have. There are enough communications ports on the battery, that battery to battery, battery to PC Monitor or Solar Assistant and BMS to Inverter are all supported at the same time. Both the SOK and SGP SG48100P use the same monitoring software. The SG48100P when bought in pairs is cheaper than the SOK. Both use the Pylontech protocol (I believe it is user settable) for the BMS to Inverter communications so just verify that your Inverter has a compatible protocol.SOK has big prices for small battery. Nice battery, but with all of the options now, I'm not sure they are keeping up in value. All of the server rack batteries are well under this price, and have similar BMS with similar features. One of the main differences I see is that instead of laser welded buss bars, they use threaded rods or screws for serviceability. I'm not sure the extra cost is worth it for this feature. I think it's rare that the cells will need to be opened and serviced anyway. It makes sense on the off chance for an out of warranty battery...maybe.
Warranty On SOK? If anything it makes warranty work a lot easier and user fixable rather than having it shipped or replacement sent. With user serviceability especially for a single damaged cell under warranty, it would be logical to me that would save SOK resources in the long run. I expect prices to come down on these if they want to stay competitive.
I am currently looking into options for pre built batteries for a parallel ASP setup. I have lots of prep to do before then, but SOK didn't quite fit the bill. Looking into some good pairing price wise and quality wise similar to tier as the ASP. Probably end up DIY battery.
BTW. There are a number of youtube videos on both batteries that also comment on the quality of construction....
