I don't like seemingly shady deals.
I am referring to "the company" that is selling batteries at the beginning of this thread. I am not trying to sell anyone here anything. Sheesh... the company I am referring to isHello
I just got quotes from Amy, and all should know that there is a new VAT tax added, to your order, and that plus the normal Alibaba fee is about a 10% adder to whatever you buy. I just checked shipping to my address and these brand new cells from this company are cheaper then the price Amy can quote for 32 cells with the high shipping costs and the new 10% adder for VAT and Alibaba fee from China. I placed an order earlier today, and am going to cancel same and get these.
I can share more details via private email.

That is pretty good, I haven't checked mine yet. Other than the voltage, which was within .02v of each other.I used the battery QR code app from Google Play and checked the mfg date on several of my cells I received from 18650batterystore.com. Looks like they were manufactured on two different dates about a month apart and were manufactured about a year before I received them in April 2022.
Mine were 3 and 4 of 2021.Check that year again.
Mine were late 21, early 22
I chose the JK BMS (bought on Ali). What BMS should I use for 4 of these cells?
There's little doubt in my mind these are not automotive grade batteries, so the date was reasonable as I bought from their first shipment. That is pretty good, I haven't checked mine yet. Other than the voltage, which was within .02v of each other.
Can't get automotive grade. Those are kept for the automotive industry. These are always what didn't make the cut. But, they're still perfect for solar storage. There's little doubt in my mind these are not automotive grade batteries, so the date was reasonable as I bought from their first shipment.
You can get them, you'll just pay a LOT more for them, lol! But yes, these are well suited for our storage needs. Can't get automotive grade. Those are kept for the automotive industry. These are always what didn't make the cut. But, they're still perfect for solar storage.
Yeah, I Shouldn't have said "can't". Anything can be got. But for our needs, we don't need to pay 3 times as much. You can get them, you'll just pay a LOT more for them, lol! But yes, these are well suited for our storage needs.
in case of CATL , quite litterally you can't..Yeah, I Shouldn't have said "can't". Anything can be got. But for our needs, we don't need to pay 3 times as much.
First full charge, delta never got above 0.2v.
JK BMS, for the win. Money well spent.
Powering my loads 4 days after ordered.
Would have been 3, if I hadn't ordered on a holiday.
Charged at 80a, until 3.3v. Then backed off to 20a, so that balancing could keep up. Only cut out a couple of times. One cell was running away, just a little bit.200mv without a top balance. Nice. I wonder what your max delta will be after a deep discharge/charge cycle.
What was your charge amperage?
EDIT: I presume that none of the cells went above the high-voltage cutoff point (causing the JK to shut off the charge)?

Going to get a deep discharge today. Due to the weather. (Thunderstorms)
BTW. I placed the temp probes shown in circle and are hitting 34°C.
Ambient is 30°C~31°CWhat was the ambient temperature and charging current when you hit 34°C?
I have the same batteries(not hooked up yet) and am wondering how much heat they will produce.
Thx
Default setting is 70°C. Battery specs are 55°C max.BTW. I placed the temp probes shown in circle and are hitting 34°C. Is it OK? I had JK to shutoff at 36°C.

How high can they safely go?
I initially set my OTP at 35°C, but seeing it was easy to hit 34°C, I up it to 36°C.Default setting is 70°C. Battery specs are 55°C max.
I wouldn't go over 50°C.
Spec's from EVE:Are you confident to operate EVE cells up to 45°C?
