Curtis Stone…

Do you have a spare room?
I’m still trying to figure out what GSM means and I’m fairly redpilled.
Grand Solar Minimum. I recommend researching it. The setup for a GSM is in full play, now we have to see if it is continuing next 11 year solar cycle. GSM's can really suck. Last one was around 1819.

I have done a grow room before with good results. You would need lots of seed for microgreens and power for LED grow lights but LOTS of potential if your setup for it.

You’re flogging people who rolled the dice, took some risk, and are getting some award from that risk. Maybe stop being jealous and figure out something other than being the assistant manager at Wendy’s?
Sorry to burst your bubble, I've been a successful business owner for 36 years, multiple businesses too which I continue to operate. I'm certainly not jealous, just a long time business perspective.

Some people do seem to be attacking this guy with zero evidence displayed in this thread. I mean REAL evidence. I have only benefited from this guys youtube channel. He is risking his well being telling the truth about what is REALLY going on in this world using his online presence. That takes allot of courage these days to put yourself out there helping expose the evil in this world

I just like looking at other people's systems.
Not at all interested in the politics or drama.

Bad idea! His poor wife must be terrified!
If anything ever happened to him (or even if he just gets the flu for a week) she'd have to take over and there's a lot of moving parts.
Mebbe I'm just a minimalist at heart but life woulda been so much simpler if they'd just stayed in Kelowna.
And I don't get how he's free when his family is totally dependent on this overly-complicated Rube Goldberg system. Sure it's a fun hobby and keeps him busy and gives him lots to talk about but Sheesh! There are limits!
That’s something I keep in mind for mine. My mother and grandparents are easily intimidated by technology and unwilling to learn. Even simple controls and basic interfaces confuse them. Not that they can’t, they won’t. It’s frustrating so I have to design it as simple as possible and automatic.

I agree.
Things should be intuitive to use and people shouldn't have to jump through hoops.
Designers should accept that some users may not be as familiar and comfortable with new tech as they are.

Automation is better for everyone involved.

Watching Linus (LTT) on YouTube has convinced me to use very little home automation. KISS. I know how to use a light switch and it usually works.

Sporadic and limited use? sure. Bolting stuff to every outlet, faucet, climate control device, etc? Unneeded and involves unnecessary complications IMHO.

I recently got a few smart plugs and lights to play with as a new hobby to see what all the fuss is about.
But I don't intend to create a so-called "smart" house that only I understand. Other residents and visitors need to use it too.
