How can Current Connected improve?

I think Dexter gave up on the SOK/SI pairing.

Another forum member reported EG4 PowerPro worked closed-loop with Sunny Island. Don't know if it has similar issues. I see CC carries it. Larger capacity and weatherproof makes it quite attractive.

@HighTechLab - can you check this out? Are you able to say you've confirmed this works? Or do you need to stay out of making compatibility claims, since you have no power to fix them?

Was planning on it as soon as EG4 ships our inventory.

I look forward to finally having an answer for the customers that have solar trailers...I can't tell you how many people have ignored our instructions then call to complain that the inverter is not measuring SOC well with the battery in open-loop control with lead acid settings.

Haven't heard of Epoch batteries, are they also making server rack type batts?
Will has made a few videos of them. The two models we like most are the 12v 460ah (because they can do 300A continuous - perfect for a 3000w inverter) and the 48v/30ah GC2 form factor so we actually have a solution for golf carts or 48v trolling motors.

Those 12V 460Ah batteries look nice; was very seriously considering one of them for my RV project, especially given the Victron comms...

I know, right?!!! I was thinking $1999 is actually a pretty good price for a quality battery...makes it super simple for install too.

No one ever gives us feedback on here...it's a blessing and a curse.

I'm taking the chance to take feedback constructively before it becomes destructive like other vendors on this forum.

Some things we are already working on:
  • Hiring and training more technical support staff to spread the load of technical sales & support calls
  • Dedicated web developer to improve UI and website experience.
  • More complete catalog including Ironridge, Unirac, Tigo, multiple panel options and electrical panels, circuit breakers and wiring components so we can better offer complete solutions not just a majority of the solution.
What do you like and what can we do better?
You guys shipped my order in 2 days.... BRAVO.
Just thought I would give some feedback.

This was going to be the one and only thing I recommend is 280ah cells. But I know the DIY Cell market is kind of dying and the server rack batteries are taking off, so I didn't mention it. Knowing you have cells will be great. Especially direct from CALB.
Not sure why the EVE 280 diy market is dying. I love mine and will build 3 more packs.

I ordered a chargeverter from CC on the 11/30 at 11:50. I received a tracking number at 1200.

While getting a tracking number just means that the number had been created, I received a shipping email from FedEx with an ETA for the package at 18:49 that evening. Should arrive on the 5th. Great job on the order turn-around time!

I would take it to mean you’re doing a good job…people will bitch and moan 10 x as much as they will praise …I would say no news is good news..

The amount of DIY cells is on the downhill with server racks becoming so cheap is all. I don't think it's going to disappear.

I still want to build 3x more 280ah packs as well

Our entire company is setup from the ground up with processes and personnel for scale. It's easy to see what happens if scaling isn't considered. We got the whole black Friday weekend rush completely shipped by Tuesday - it was very good to have a real world test of our processes under a decent load. Now we just need our inventory of 6000XP's to arrive...

At some point in early 2024 I plan to launch some form of "we get it out within a day or we pay your shipping" policy. Still a few steps in the works though before we do that but it's coming.

I've been sitting on the same 280ah cells for over 6 months now. I've dropped the price 4 times and am selling below cost now. 90% of the DIY cells customers calling into our tech support frankly are not qualified to be building batteries. As a company it's not feasible to recommend a DIY pack like it was a few years ago when pre-built packs weren't around.

A good quality 48 volt heavy duty timer would be helpful for those of us in hot climates who want to run loads (e.g.: air conditioner) during peak solar hours only to keep the batteries cool.

You could respond to product information requests. I tried e-mailing, and a couple days later calling and leaving a voice mail. Never heard back. Ended up making my purchase elsewhere.

Can you DM me your email address and phone number? Did you double check your spam folder?

EDIT: User DM'd me the email and phone number he tried to contact us from. He emailed us from a mail server hosted as a subdomain of no-ip.org with none of the sender authentications in place (DKIM and DMARC records missing) and ended up in spam folder. We typically check our spam folder at least once a week and this one somehow must have blended in. We get a ton of emails from SEO companies, suppliers trying to get us to buy their products, and just overall junk, so it can be hard to catch everything.

I pulled the CDR records from our phone switch and the international telecom provider and we never received a call from the number provided. Perhaps they made a typo on the number and that's why my records aren't showing anything. Otherwise if the call was from an anonymous or blocked number we can't look it up. Blocked caller ID's don't connect through to our phones either, it plays a message to unblock the caller ID and call again. We do not allow this because we can't track call recordings for quality assurance purposes when there is no caller ID to track the call by.
