custom made battery box for eve LF280K cells

Hrmmm, I'm not sure I agree that it would cost me more to build myself. In either case, for me it's about having the right wire length. I'd also like to know what connectors they're using, I don't want to rely on shipping from china/another vendor if/when I needed to replace them down the road.
From their site, it looks like the 280 kits use the same terminals as the Pusung kits.

My 6.9KW Masons use normal terminals. As far as connecting together, I will be using the Seplos JASSN busbars.

But what are they? Are they their own proprietary connector?
Nope. They are High Voltage InLine (HVIL) connectors typically used for EV car high amperage situations. Amphenol and others make them. Safer than the usual cheaper connectors.

you should get the male connector from the same manufacturer or you could get some bad surprise. (https://en.futronics.com.cn/) as I said you can get them from seplos, at a much better price than anywhere else.

Appreciate the info. I think it's reasonable to not want to rely on a 3rd party for something as simple as a cable/connector. In 5-years if I redo my connections I don't want to wait to have something shipped from china. I'll reach out to Adam and see if he can let me know exactly which connector they use so I can put together my own wires/length. I'll share what I find here.

I understand, you can buy original ev surelock connector from Amphenol, expect to pay around 20-30 $ each .
specifications are here https://docs.rs-online.com/01b4/0900766b81542d97.pdf

By the looks it of the connector you might be able to replace it with a generic M6 terminal

I was wondering the same, they do look similar. I'll wait until my boxes arrive and take some measurements. Thanks for the help everyone!

@sergea placed an order last week for 4 of these. Do you know what the lead times are and when I should expect these to ship out? I'm in the US and they'll be shipping by sea. Really excited to have these and building the area in my garage where they will be stored.

Yesterday i receveived the information that the pcb between the cells need a small modification, shipment delayed a few days

Figure 6-8 weeks minimum. I ordered my Masons on 9/14/21, and they showed up 1/4/22

My situation is a little bit different, to be short my enclosures going to be send to Amy wu and she going to handle the shipping with cells to me. Iam waiting more information today or tomorrow.

However I expect the usual same delay when shipping by sea from china. 7 to 9 week

If you guy remember, I paid and sent to them EVE cells to make that enclosures becomes reality. I would like now to ask them to build for a new bus barre box (jassen) specifically design for this battery. I was thinking about the same jassen box with up to 4 bigger breakers and for up to 2 or 3 inverters. I would like to know your opinion. ;-)

And we all REALLY appreciate your efforts to make that a reality!

I think the existing JASSN would need to be updated a bit for the higher amperage, including not only the breakers, but also the cable openings, connection points, and internal bussbar size. At least for the version I have. The larger 16 port version may already have those issues resolved.

Yep, that's the idea, bigger breaker, and larger opening for the cable. actually it is for 25mm. The 16 ports version is really to big for most residential application.

The idea is get something like the old model (one breaker for each battery) , but with the new MCCB breaker and rated for 300A and 50mm cable.
As you can only stack 4 battery, (still can have up to 16 stacks) having 4 breaker seems the right thing to do.

I like the idea to make it available with or without the breaker, so anyone can use whatever MCCB breaker they want.

BTW here is a picture of the new JASNN, (still 25mm cable ) that replace the old one.

BTW, I was looking for the latest PC software from Seplos. Hard to find a link on their site, so if you need it, here is the link for their BMS PC Software.

made this case for 180 usd on alibaba
