Just finished my Della install.
Took way longer than I thought it would.

I had to manufacture two connectors for the 240 volt lines. The connector on the unit is tiny. The wire I had on hand was 10 guage.

I had to manufacture a stand out of pressure treated lumber to sit in the grass.

Getting the unit through the tiny hole in the wall is a real pain. I never could get the unit to sit level on the wall. The pipe forces the unit higher on the wall on the right side.

Love the timer setting for starting and stopping the unit.

The unit was drawing 11 amps on high.

The outside unit is so quiet I thought it was off.

Overall very happy with the unit.
Installing the unit is not trivial.

Thank you Will for your excellent tutorial ?

Nice, glad you had an operations manager (doggo) on site!

Jealous of your server/material lift. I've considered purchasing one for racking batteries.

A couple questions for ya. What did you wrap the wire with? What's that white wrap?

Now a piece of advice if I may--don't leave that nice stand resting directly on the ground. Put some concrete below it so it doesn't sink over time. Perhaps a sheet of ground contact wood at the least.

Good job!

Do you mean in conduit? Never.
Yea in conduit, I mean if it isn't broke don't fix it... I'm the same way for lots of things.
I've never seen an install where the AC feed was ran along with everything else, nice way to eliminate another wall penetration I guess.
Did you have any issues vacuuming it down?

No issues vacuuming.

I wrapped the wires with this tape:

My lift is the best money I ever spent.
It's all aluninum, so it's light.
But it has lifted 600 lbs.
I use it daily.

I built the stand thinking I could drive it into the ground with a hammer. Not with our clay in SC. It's like rock. I hope over time the vibrations will drive it into the ground. I left plenty of wire so it can easily reach all the way to the ground.
