With the 6000XP, 12kPV, and 18kPV models, the MPPT inputs are equipped with reverse polarity protection to prevent damage in case of cross-polarizing the PV inputs. If you are experiencing no PV voltage, follow these steps to determine if the reverse polarity protection is active:
Confirm Array Configuration:
Ensure that the array configuration is within the specifications of the inverter.
6000XP
12kPV
18kPV
Verify PV Power:
Confirm that the PV is powered on, and that voltage is present at the input.
Check for Negative Voltage Reading:
Determine if the voltage reading is negative, which would indicate that the inputs are cross-polarized, and the PV is not working due to reverse polarity protection.
