Hello! Just another newbie. There is so much useful information here! I have got a lot to learn, but I hope I can ask some advice from knowledgeable people while I find my way with a battery storage solution.

I attached a 1-page PDF with details about my situation and what I would think I want to do. It might be easier to read than pasting a wall of text.

Does anyone want to offer opinions or insights about using a sub-panel for critical circuits?

Or about recommendations for inverters that might work well for this case?
(low or high frequency, brand, etc.)

Or about recommendations on batteries that might work well for this case?
(voltage, enclosure, capacity, brand, etc.)

Hello.
I can't see your name anywhere.
I am not sure if you are allowed to put lithium batteries inside or near your home.
The following is ONLY to give you some ideas.
I used the light circuit to do this.
I put a power transfer switch on it so that the light circuit could also be on a separate power supply(ies).
The "UPS" runs back to a caravan type input. (See Pic)
From here everything is "pluggable".
This goes back to an Automatic Power Transfer Switch that takes power from the mains as a priority or a battery if the power fails. (My UPS).
See diagram/ pic below.
On this circuit I have lights, internet (router), cameras, fridge and main TV. (Some Pics Below.)
Any other items, on your list, clothes dryer, microwave, toaster, oven I would not put on this circuit.
Your smoke detectors should have battery backup.
My maximum draw is 500 watts 240 volt AC continuous.
Gas is your "best friend" in power outages.
My battery system would only last 10 hours.
