how do some AIOs increase inverting power with pv available

I understand how ac coupled systems can increase power but how do DC coupled systems do it.

the inverter can invert 12kw from battery. how is it able to invert 15kw when pv is available? how is the system inverting that extra 3kw from DC to AC?

It’s a good question. The only thing that pops into my mind is if possibly being “easier” to invert a higher input voltage from solar.

DC to DC is probably harder than inverting tbh

The battery has to go through a boost converter to raise voltage high enough to invert from. The MPPT should be outputting at exactly the voltage the DC bus is already at, im guessing. So, the MPPT bypasses the 'limit' of the step-up/boost converter. The limit of the boost converter is probably the current on the battery side.. the 250a that Nuke alluded to. That would be my guess.
