How "shack-y" is your solar shed?

My cabin system and also my hacked together tool shed battery (tool shed is a diy pack for just charging battery tools). Cabin system is 4 tesla modules in an airtight enclosure, in it's own little building away from everything. - retiring very soon thankfully.

You've got a lake! Nice!

What are those cylinders, wired 15p4s?

I'm actually attached to a massive waterway that connects Georgian Bay to Lake Ontario called the Trent-Severn.

They're 18650's from laptop batteries. If I remember correctly each pack is 60 cells in parallel. Then each pack is wired in series for one "big" pack. Its a total hack job, I'm actually supprised it's still working to be honest.

They look huge, thought laptop was flashlight cell sized.
Is that 4s BMS next to it?

For an explody chemistry, have to consider entire building at risk.
I thought those huge cells might be the expensive cold-tolerant and safe ones.

Yes, some deligreen unit circa 2017?

Doubley so since they are all harvested cells.
I keep all the tools elsewhere now that the house is watertight. So it's just the batteries when they're on charge, a shitty table saw and a drill press in there. Not a huge loss if it turns into a Roman candle.

Maybe I'll put it in a ice fishing hut for next winter, hopefully I'll have time to actually get out and do that then.
