I have a modified sign wave 2500 amp inverter/charger on my 2002 Motorhome. Im having a 600 watt Renogy kit installed. I’m wondering if I can get pure sign by adding a pure sign inverter to my current system without popping for $1600 new pure sign inverter/charger?
ok. My bad I ment Watts ?
With panels/charge controller from any company,
It's becoming a modular system.
Panels, batteries, charge controller, inverter...
All modular and all replaceable as single units.
The only thing I would add is an AC (shore power) battery charger.
Batteries get charged FULLY every time you plug the vehicle in with an extension cord or run a generator.
That covers you all the way around...
The folks that don't have an education in electricity, particularly solar/batteries/inverters prefer a combined unit because it's simple to install, pretty much idiot proof.
Combined units are a pain in the posterior for guys that want to expand, modify, and/or have 'Off Spec' requirements.
Watts are Watts,
No matter where they come from.
I built a generator/charger for a guy, attached to the axle of a horse drawn wagon...
Try and find a 'Combined' unit that will accommodate that!
(Talk about HORSE POWER!)
