I thought I'd just pass along a 'gotcha' I encountered on my JK BMS (also known as a Heltec) bluetooth active balancer that had me in a panic for a couple of days. Hopefully if somebody in the future searches the symptoms they'll find this post.
I powered it off by unplugging the molex block for the cell 24 power connection that actually goes to cell 16 to do some work on the bank. When I powered it back on it wasnt showing any cells past cell 9. I checked all the connections at the balancer and at the battery terminal block and it was all good.
After two days of swearing at "g&^ d%&$ expensive Chinese junk!" I finally found the tab connector for cell group 16 at the bank had pulled apart while I was working.
Felt like a bloody idiot.
So lessons learned, if your balancer suddenly quits showing anything past cell 9 check your cell 16 connection. No idea why cells 10-15 would also quit displaying but it does.
