Trying a different route wit the JK (non inverter) to get some automated alerts out of Home Assistant so I don't need to look at it...all the time. Working on notifications if cells delta is out of spec although the active balancer is kicking butt.

To be fair, I rarely look at BMS data.
Only if I have been a week or more since the last full charge. And the delta is all that I'm checking. As charging is finishing.
I would just rather see it, remotely.

You can get the 150A 8S-24S w/ 1A active balancing for $82.12 ea buying 4 or more.
With multiple packs in parallel is the extra 50A and 1A balance really necessary?

Too late already bought.
I'd rather have the 200A rated BMS in case one BMS trips. The cascade effect can occur.

I prefer the 200a also.
1. Will be less stressed in normal operation.
2. Less minimum batteries to keep running, if the SHTF.

Yes, I do the same. I have a Daly BMS in my truck camper and it is rated at twice the load it will ever see. Never had a problem with it. I tend to derate things from China. Did the same with the 24V to 12V converter, it is twice the size it will ever see for a load.

You could go even less amps/cheaper on the bms and use those super cheap batteryhookup DC relays and bypass the BMS mosfets altogether.
Literally just received another 10kw 15 minutes ago from 18650battery for my 2a balancer 200amp JKs I got a week ago. I do regret not getting the new jk inverter bms now since the kinks seemed to be worked out.
