MultiSIBControl and error filled battery data from cheap RJ45 console to USB adaptor

Hi, I use MultiSIBControl with my two MPP Solar PIP5048MKX inverters, and three Pylontech US5000 batteries. I use a 15m Ethernet cable to connect the Console port of my master battery to my Windows 10 PC, (not my main PC, which is Windows 8.1), but I keep getting errors in the battery data, such as a fourth 'ghost' battery appears in MultiSIBControl, or most of the time at least one of the main parameters of one of the batteries (such as Pack SOC, Pack volt, Pack capacity, Pack error) shows either zero or corrupted data.
At first I thought it was a problem with my Ethernet cable, so I connected my old laptop (Windows 7) to the battery and inverters using short, 1m long cables, in my inverter box, and saw no errors at all in MultiSIBControl for the battery data. Then I thought I'd try the Windows 7 laptop in my study, 15m away from the inverter box, with the 15m long cables - again, no errors at all - so the problem must be the drivers for the RS232 to USB cable, for Windows 10.
My cable is called 'USB to RJ45 Router Control Line For Console Adapter Cable Cord RS232', and I was thinking of buying a different cable from Ebay, but they all look exactly the same as the one I bought, which makes me think they are all going to use the same drivers as well, and thus my problem won't be fixed by a new cable.
Is anybody else here using Windows 10 with MultiSIBControl and one of these cables, and do you have errors in your battery data?
I have found one cable that is called '1.8m USB Cisco Console Cable FTDI to RJ45 Cable for Routers/Switches/Serves' and this uses the FTDI chipset, I wonder if this will use different drivers to the cable that I have? I can't find out what chipset my existing cable has, is there a way to do this within Windows 10?
