If I use my equipment on a hot and sunny day I can see how my batteries are being used, that has never happened. If you were to take a guess, do you think the charge controller MPPT has something to do with this? Is there something I can do ,besides buying a new one? How can I test for this?
Thanks

ASSUMING SOMETHING IS DAMAGE, WHAT WOULD IT BE?

If you don’t have a fuse or breaker on the PV strings, and as it gets colder voltage could climb above 150v. The unit would be damaged.

You could call the Outback tech dept. 1-360-618-4363 ask for their imput. And see if the Outback needs to be sent in for warranty work.
This equipment was installed by my father who passt aways. This equipment I don't think is under warranty.

they are connected in rows a 3 and 1 in a row of 6.
So 3S and 3S and 6S strings?
These 3 strings connected in parallel with a pair of 3:1 connectors?

If this is the case, thats likely a problem of some sort. The biggest fear is that the 6S string will produce 6x a single panel Voc (open circuit voltage, see label on panel for this number).

Flexmax 60 has max input voltage of 150V or it may fry or if you're lucky, shut down.

Can you confirm panel Voc?

If you can post a pic of your solar panel label that would help.

I foundout what is wrong, its the cooling fan in my unit. Where can I buy it? I have tried Outback and no answer.
Are you capable of opening the Outback? Most cooling fans are VERY standard and easily purchased and installed.
With the info on the failed fan and its size (usually 2", 3" or 4"), its easy to point you to one.

6s string is to many volts. Has to be more than 200 volts. 150volts is the max for the Outback 80. Picture of fan is on eBay and Alte
