I placed an order for solar panels, battery and charger (chargeverter) on Jan. 7. I was told the chargeverter would be in stock middle of the month. Got the solar panels in a week. I was also told they were moving warehouses so it would be about a week before the battery would ship. Here it is Jan. 29 and no chargeverter, no battery and no contact from them to let me know what's going on. They also charged my credit card for the entire order Jan. 7. I also had some issues with the order which they straightened out right away. The thing that bothers me most isn't so much that I haven't received the items but that they didn't contact me to let me know the order would be delayed and when I should expect it. Oh and charging my card for the full order, not cool either.

Everyone is having issues getting chargeverters. See this related thread:

I also can't help but notice this is your second time writing on this subforum about issues with the same order. May I suggest using the previous thread you started instead?

I suggest your expectations are not fully in line. If you’re dealing with the likes of Amazon, I totally agree with you. Others like Home Depot are more like what you experienced with SS. Only difference is that as best I can tell from my CC postings, HD only charges after transferring to a carrier.
Example two weeks ago ordered an in stock item from HD with expected delivery five days ago. Just got an email that it was shipped and delivery is Feb 10.
You’re not even dealing with a Home Depot, let alone an Amazon. Gotta be realistic IMO.

So you think that expecting a vendor to let you know that your order is going to be late is expecting too much and not realistic?

Home Depot doesn’t- just for example. They’re a distributor just like SS. Do I “like” not being informed? Of course not, but it’s pretty common practice.

Hey Paul! I'm so sorry for the frustration. We completely understand and are doing all we can to keep you and the rest of our customers updated on this. I'm not sure if we have been in contact before but if you'd like to reach out to me at engagement@signaturesolar.com, I can get you an update on your specific order!

Bottom line, Signature Solar will get you into solar production in a very cost-effective way. Online Engagement Specialist is to Refuse Reconciliation Specialist as PR Damage Control is to Trash Collector. Lower your expectations if you can't shop in-person or deal with someone with a well-established, positive reputation with the Better Business Bureau. Visit in person and the worst you'll encounter is having to wait for a commercial pickup or delivery before they'll load you. Other than that, in person shoppers are treated like they'd want to be treated.
