Have recently moved to the Philippines, where its hot and sunny for 1/2 of the year then overcast and windy for the remainder.

Been living remotely with no grid connection for 12 months and experimenting with a small solar arrangement (450w panel 1kw inverter).

Solar power generation is extremely limited during the overcast seasons and now looking to build a new solar array, augmented with wind turbines. Probably 4kw solar with 2kw wind.

Can not for the life of me find a hybrid controller to meet this spec! Would prefer not to compromise with a dual system or try poking the turbine feed into the battery simultaneously.

Has any one had experience with kind of setup? Any advice would be fantastic!

You don't need a hybrid controller. You can just run the solar and wind separately.

I bought a cheapo 1000w wind controller from ebay that would brake at 14.3/28.7v and it did the job.
