spt-2 18 awg wire lamp

trying to buy the right replacement ks-30 switch for a lamp, trouble is a don't know the amp draw of the lamp. seems there are 3a and 6a versions of the switch. google tells me the lamp's spt-2 wire is 10a max so i'd guess buy the 6a version? not sure.

What's the max wattage of the bulb?

Watts/volts = current. Multiply current by 1.25 = answer

If they both fit, and the cost is not significantly different, 6A = answer.

Even at 3a that's a 300w light bulb. Don't over think things.
