Replaced my old EpEver charge controllers with Victron 150/35 Smartsolar and battery smart sense today, and really rather pleased with myself. Simple things really do please simple minds ?

In fact, I was so chuffed with myself, I showed my wife what I had done, and her response was , 'How much!'

There really is no pleasing some people ?

But I have to ask - what size wires are between the battery and inverter/charger going through the 200A breaker? And what size wires are going between the two 150/35 SCCs and battery through the 50A breakers?

It's 50mm2 (1/0awg I think?) To the inverter and 6mm2 (10awg?) to the batteries.

They are some terminal blocks I had laying around.

It's not a switch but a lug for a security seal.

I like my blue Victron stuff also but if you’re using blue wires you may have a problem ?

And no blue batteries or disconnect switches. What’s up with that ?

You could get some "Victron Blue" vinyl wrap for those batteries and switches to make it really pop.

Me too. Got my eye on a smart shunt and cerbo gx next, but getting 'budget approval' for that might be tough ?

Did you test the breakers?

Most of those automatic ones are garbage. I would test by running 2500W+ from the inverter for 10-15min and measure voltage drop / temperature on the 200A breaker.

I've seen plenty of occasions where they fail, melt, or the inverter just shutsdown due to undervoltage caused by these junk.

Just yesterday fixed an issue with a customer who had installed a 120A one... with only 30A, it got hot, his inverter caused him problems and he had issues charging (charger stopped thinking it was at 14.2V while the batteries only were 12V)
Got rid of the crappy one, installed a proper fuse and everything worked great.

Yeh, I had exactly that same problem with my original 200A breaker that was dropping around 10v when under load. I did a post about it a while ago.

Also had one of those cheap torpedo shaped 40A breakers getting hot and letting go with less than 10A flowing.

I have now replaced them all with Durite breakers. Expensive but reliable!

How have you connected the smart sense, 1st battery + and last battery -? Also, does it work with any batteries and not just Victron? I'm looking at getting one. I have the Victron 150/35 cc and 2 x 100ah Lifepo4 batteries in parallel. Thanks.
