But when you wanting to know real capacity 3.5 should be used....3.5 is pretty close to the center of the charge/discharge cycle.If you've ever searched online for lifepo4 prismatic cells, they are always designated as 3.2v which is the nominal voltage for the lifepo4 chemistry -- i don't see why you would want to use some other voltage UNLESS you are using 12 or 24 to just do a quick calculation (which is what I usually do, quite frankly).
3.2*16*280=14.3 kwh
3.5*16*280=15.7 kwh
Using 3.2 is a 9% reduction in what the battery should put out in usable capacity. 9% is huge....
