Where I live it almost seems that Omicron has rolled thru and are already on the decline .... at least the case numbers skyrocketed for a while .... and are now going back down. The huge case numbers for a while didn't cause the same uptick in hospitalizations ... so, it seems it almost has to be an Omicron surge.

Hospitalizations are actually pretty low.

I'm in Michigan, couple hours north of Detroit..

A friend of a friend had a sore throat last week, went to the doctor, ended up in the hospital with a stage 4 cancer diagnosis. He was laying in the hallway for three days because there were no beds available due to Covid.

He died 4 days later.

My number crunching comes up with 129 hospitalized omicron patients and 221 delta & alpha patients (assuming half of each)
That's of 862 omicron patients and 451 delta/alpha patients.

California is considering ordering avoidance of elective surgery. Some hospital groups are already implemented that.
California is considering allowing covid-positive health care workers to work with patients in the event of shortages (ideally but not necessarily with covid patients.)
Santa Clara county has declared that no one unvaccinated, including those granted medical or religious exemptions, can work in a "high risk setting", which includes in a room where air is shared with a patient.

So someone unvaccinated and constantly testing negative is not allowed, but someone with an active covid infections is allowed.

There are a lot of "experts" that could be found touting the benefits of those treatments. They may be and are likely to be wrong, but if a user here believed in that information and still does, even in the face of disputing studies done since, Im not sure that its fair to characterize them as a liar.
You can say theyre wrong. You can call what they post misinformation. But they arent lies if some information existed that supported it and they arent lying if they still believe it.
Dont mistake this for me agreeing with the issue, I wouldnt pursue those treatments myself.
However when covid was initially spreading and people just helplessly watched loved ones dying, I could sympathize with attempts with these treatments if they showed promise.
The issue became politically polarized when it was used to attack President Trump so Im not going to be so quick to grasp information that supports that agenda. These are the people who used Trumps response and the death toll to justify voting him out of office yet we have him to thank in part for speedy vaccines and not only has Biden done little different, the death toll in the same time period with him in office has been much higher.
I know being reasonable does get in the way of piling on a user, but try if you can.

People are literally dying unnecessary by refusing the vaccines so I take this a little more seriously. Now you might not be aware of his history.

On another occasion, he exposed himself as a liar, I suspect that this might have played a part in earning a 2 week suspension.

Interestingly he has claimed that the suspension was because his tendency to insult people, which he continues to do. I see no other reasonable explanation for that continuation other than that he is lying over the reason for the suspension.

The people who've been victimized by religion are not capable of even recognizing their own plight. Their beliefs aren't based on some personal choice they made, they're based on.. get this... If you're in the Americas or Europe, you were forced into Christianity, if you're in the middle east, you're forced into Islam, and India does Hindu.
