Anyone buying these 305ah envision cells?

Correct...they sold me the envisions but canceled due to lack of inventory. So, I bought the EVE 304 Ah cells at a great price...I hope

Eve lf304's are good cells too..
Used to be my primairy, now the envisions a- grade are, but this far my eve's have never let me down

Finally got the second BMS and built out my second EEL box........and snapped off 2 more cell studs.
Way below 6nm, you can just tell they are going.
PISSED OFF.

Your right I snapped off 1 while beginning the assembly of 1 of 4 strings of 16s. I was barely even tightening up on little past finger tight and a post snapped off.
I snapped off 2 more posts and I set my torque wrench to 5NM.
What I've seen is the laser welds are horrible on them




I also had some so bloated the bus bars wouldn't go on. After tightening even further on the compression and letting sit for a few days and tightening some more they were able to barely go on.

I've yet to complete 2 more 16s packs and fixing to do that now. But when using these cells great care is needed when messing with the posts due to the poor welds. These are definitely not Eve quality cells that I have. I'd rather have the threaded rod that you screw in than these by far

I thought I read somewhere that 6nm was too much for aluminium terminals?

I called and James told me 7nm

Here are 2 more cells. These were tightened up at 6 NM. I have since dropped to 5.

Seems like I remember reading on here a long time ago that someone drilled out a hole and threaded one.
I have some that come with threaded holes and you put in a threaded rod in it. Those were about 3 years ago

I finished up the rest of the packs using 4 nm none of the rest of em broke off

I also ended up holding the bus bars so they could not twist, maybe that's the secret.

I'm sure that helps. I held onto the socket/Nut area while tightening. I didn't want them slinging off into another busbar or post and have a really bad day lol

Being new (are they new.. or said new but used previously) I would assume if they are same build as grade A, then what caused them to be B grade?

When I looked last night they showed the grade B as out of stock.
I think the “swelling” is why they are grade B

You can expect some swelling and slightly less capacity than grade A cells. Folks here (including me) have tested these cells at 300Ah or higher though. Swelling wasn’t too bad, varying from 1/16”-1/8”, but that’s just my experience. For the price, I think these are good value cells.

Was told these were 3000 cycle cells instead of 6000 cycles that is grade A. Even at 3000 Cycles they will last a long time

That is just what I was told by 18650 battery themselves on the phone.
I'd be happy with 3000 or 5000. Still a lot of Cycles

UPDATE :

Wednesday 25 Oct. Have tested 11 of 16 EVE 304Ah cells from 18650. Lowest cell capacity is 311.7 Ah, highest capacity 316.2 Ah. Will keep you posted.

Y'all keep stripping the threads because you're using commie units like Nm. You wouldn't have that problem with a manly measurement like lb-ft.

I used finger pounds and didn't have an issue. Normally I'll torque nuts/bolts until they break then back off 1/4 turn, I gave it 3 less fingerlbs this time and didn't have any issues, so far.
