Luyuan battery case

Just remember there is huge differences in "lugs". A $2 lug is likely not going to be the same as a $8 lug. For the same lug size, if they provide weight that would be a good indication of how much copper was used since I've seen some really thin ones compared to the named brand ones from Panduit but you likely won't see weight listed for the super cheap ones.

The ones i usually buy can only be installed with a hydraulic press tool, trying to use a hammer tool just doesn’t work well, you don’t get consistent results. The ones they sell at Lowe’s and Home Depot are usually garbage. You want to make sure they are cast lugs.

I dunno if I mentioned this before in THIS thread. I have been using SelTerm Tinned lugs for years and never had any issues at all. The "Closed" type of terminal is best because there is no exposed copper. Selterm lugs can be bought direct from them (Fast shipping, well priced) or from any Reputable electronics suppliers like DigiKey (bit of markup but really quick delivery).

The gotcha with the Chinese Hydraulic Crimpers if they are Metric & that it's NOT good when doing AWG.
Hammer Pinch Crimper - I've used one for years as well, mostly for 4/0. The "Trick" is to attach the crimper to a bigger piece of 2x6 (most have attachment points on their sides) and a nice 5Lb Sledge... Works but tricky... Hydraulic is far better IMO.

Better get your cells ordered, more talk on tariffs for Chinese green products.

Typo? DId you mean no good when doing AWG?

I just purchased one and hopefully, the AWG molds are sized correctly.

Thanks, Typo fixed.
If you get a crimper with AWG Dies your good to gowith AWG wires.
If you get one with Metric dies that get's tricky.

Do you have reference?
It has been on the news the last couple days, the treasury secretary has been over there and said yesterday that tariffs on Chinese green products were a possibility.

For my $50 crimping tool, the metric size had an AWG “equivalent” on the same die. I just had to use both 1/0 dies on my 2/0 cable and selterm lugs. I might have got away with a 1/0 and a 2/0 die but it didn’t take that much more pumping with all 1/0 dies.

Is there a choice in castors available? I'm thinking if one was going to stack a bunch one would want a heavier duty unit? Cells look great.
You can probably request anything you want. Mine will have 5 boxes stacked up and weigh about 1200 lbs.
I don't expect to move them around very much. But I like having the option.

No worries, just a mock up they have a 60# load limit and I will take care of that.

I didn't get ferrules with one of my cases and I don't have a crimper for them.
I am getting ready to order these but if anyone has better ideas please let me know. Thanks

I need to do the same and make some new connections to adapt for the class T fuses, Amy has some in my next order but I don’t want to wait that long.

I got some lugs that I was able to bend ok, I just need to make up eight 8.5” wires with 90 lugs on one end and ferrules on the other and then eight modified buss bars for the class t to front terminal.

I'm thinking about switching to the new closed loop JK BMS. If I do that, I need to order the new face for my battery box with the cutouts for the communication ports. I am going to ask Amy to squeeze a class T fuse in there too.
Batteries are constantly evolving. These battery boxes will be evolving with me.

I am going to see if I can get a couple boxes modified for two 12v 4s in a 8s box with two screens, so two 12v 304ah in a single case.
