Better BUT I had a heart palpation when I saw all that Open Unprotected Steel. A flash in my mind of what would happen if a piece of metal bridges that connect to (+) and the bracket etc... 1 oopsie Flash = 1 Bad Day.

1) I would at minimum put heat shrink to cover the busbar from Fuse to Terminal. Also I would shorten the M8 Bolt so not so much thread is exposed. "Murphy Temptation".

2) Your Angle Bracket ! PLEASE TRIM THAT DOWN ! get rid of excess and really make sure it is all "soft edged" so nothing sharp...
Another Murphy Temptation".

Never EVER provide temptations / Invitations for Murphy to come and apply his laws onto you. Straight from the Lesson Learned pile of Crisis Management, Rule 1 being Prevent the crisis in the first place !
but that unprotected steel is near a protected “bus bar” of the class t, correct? Maybe your concern would be for the other end of the class t?

Either was it was an easy fix.

This site always sells top shelf items

Just remember there is huge differences in "lugs". A $2 lug is likely not going to be the same as a $8 lug. For the same lug size, if they provide weight that would be a good indication of how much copper was used since I've seen some really thin ones compared to the named brand ones from Panduit but you likely won't see weight listed for the super cheap ones.

The ones i usually buy can only be installed with a hydraulic press tool, trying to use a hammer tool just doesn’t work well, you don’t get consistent results. The ones they sell at Lowe’s and Home Depot are usually garbage. You want to make sure they are cast lugs.

I dunno if I mentioned this before in THIS thread. I have been using SelTerm Tinned lugs for years and never had any issues at all. The "Closed" type of terminal is best because there is no exposed copper. Selterm lugs can be bought direct from them (Fast shipping, well priced) or from any Reputable electronics suppliers like DigiKey (bit of markup but really quick delivery).

The gotcha with the Chinese Hydraulic Crimpers if they are Metric & that it's NOT good when doing AWG.
Hammer Pinch Crimper - I've used one for years as well, mostly for 4/0. The "Trick" is to attach the crimper to a bigger piece of 2x6 (most have attachment points on their sides) and a nice 5Lb Sledge... Works but tricky... Hydraulic is far better IMO.

Better get your cells ordered, more talk on tariffs for Chinese green products.

Typo? DId you mean no good when doing AWG?

I just purchased one and hopefully, the AWG molds are sized correctly.
