Need EVE 280K Batteries: Luyuan? Qso? Docan? Other Companies?

The only issue I have with Gobel is the puffery on grade B cells calling them LSEV or LSEV plus, everything except grade B which is what they are.

I have no other issues, they aren't engaging in qr code sanding which makes them 10x better than the typical Alibaba seller.

I would stick to what they call grade A+ with full test report since your ordering form overseas, remember there is no redo if you get bad cells even from Gobel.

Personally if in the USA I would look to get form batteryhookup / 18650 / ezeal. If China is what you want, then I would look into the sunfunkits see what the can offer recently had some very good price drops on the REPT 280s that are now $102.00 shipped for quantiles of 96 or more.

I just checked Amy Alibaba site. The cell is USD 20 - 30 higher than Gobel. Hmmm........

As others have mentioned, you need to open a chat via Alibaba / whatsapp etc and ask for a quote, it will never be the same as advertised, often the shipping and cell prices are automatically more than when you get a quote.

I ordered 24 'A Grade' Gotion 340AH cells from GobelPower on Alibaba, it took 72 days for delivery to the UK. They sent the wrong test report before I ordered, which was annoying, as the cells were 6 months from manufacture on it. They then sent me cells over one year from manufacture and I had to ask for the correct test report after they arrived, which was disappointing! Although the cells all seem good so far, but the Gotion test reports aren't as detailed as EVE's.

Here are the cells they sent me, split into my three 8S 24v batteries, which I've put in my own spreadsheet with my own tests using a YR1035:

A Typical Test Report from EVE looks like this below.

This is what a real report is supposed to look like. With test points & all.
translated-spreadsheet-from-eve-png.103369

"OCV1, OCV2, OCV3" refers to the voltage of the cell (unit: V), which is the initial voltage of the cell tested by the OCV tester after eliminating the "polarization" of the finished cell;

"R1, R2, R3" refers to the corresponding OCV#, resistance of the cell (unit: mΩ), which is the internal resistance (AC internal resistance) tested by the OCV tester after eliminating the "polarization" of the finished cell;

Hmm.......but my option is only shipping from China, I prefer EVE battery for its reputation. REPT seems to be "new" in the market.

Definitely chat and request a quote so you can figure final pricing on both.

Done sending message requesting for quotation to Amy Wan at alibaba (it is really hard to figure out the site user inferface). Had to create a new account for it. Hopefully the price isn't more expensive than Gobel.

best of luck, I would think that shipping to Singapore would be fairly inexpensive, but you never know... more than that what are the import duties like? I could see them being quite expensive as everything in Singapore costs.

I am planning to ship the battery directly back to hometown at Sarawak, Malaysia instead.:)

Generally, Amy is quick to respond.
Tip, if you want a BMS, wires, cases etc... you can save some cash by ordering from 1 vendor because they can put the smaller bits into a box with the rest. It saves the per box" fee + weight of that extra... it adds up fast. They have all the BMS' etc.. If there is something you do not see listed, ask, she can source it and usually for a bit less. For example, she has new JKBMS with Inverter Comms but not listed till supplies are available, seems demand was higher than expected and JK wasn't ready for it...

Remember, Gobel is selling B-Grade, & Brokered bulk cells, so they will always be cheaper.
Luyuan deals direct with manufacturers only and provides their test reports. They are also one of the few who sells properly Matched & Batched cells. Yes that comes at a slightly higher price but then you won't have the quirks & foibles to deal with. They do honour warranty & guarantees BTW.

Remember, the batteries ARE the engine that provides you power, do you really want to be Penny Wise & Dollar Foolish on them ?

100% agreed, some b grades are OK but its always a crap shoot. my first two orders of B grade cells were great the last order of 20 was a disaster and I have since pulled them. You could buy some b grade to practice and learn on. but if you are past that point its time to go with the better cells.

Oh bollock.......:fp

This is a disaster for me.........First Gobel......now even Amy also said the same? But why?

I am quite disheartened here.?
Any help or guide?

My house is just an ordinary terraced house.
And I don't have a business address.
Have it CIF to warehouse. Contract to have specialist do import/tax paperwork then when it’s done you pick up at warehouse. They probably do not have a POC to do import paperwork or local delivery ask her (Amy) Why?

o_O sounds complicated, but let me ask Amy on the reason first and if she can assist me on the shipping part.
I don't mind paying the tax and doing paperworks etc.

Note: Gobel never get back to me........

If you are open to other another brand, I could check if they ship to your address.

The Chinese & Singapore relationship is not bad or troublesome, in fact they signed several new agreements in 2023 for trade and cooperation. Given that, it is not likely "Political" (although these days - major headshaking with that).

A quick read here, does not indicate anything unusual with regards to Lithium based batteries.

Thanks for the offer, but I prefer EVE battery.

Few years ago, I bought 20 cells Sinopoly 200Ah batteries and let say......the capacity of those cells differs a lot.....triggered a lot of BMS protections. Still in use though.

Until the day I bought few grade B EVE batteries (100ah) at cheap price for 24v system and I must admit, the performance of EVE batteries is very consistent during load/charging.

Except I am not Singaporean, just a foreigner working there earning SGD currency.
Plan to have those battery delivered* straight to Malaysia instead.?

Edit:
Maybe I should change my location to Malaysia instead.
