Seplos CAN BUS RS485 48v 200A 8S-16S BMS

Has anyone was able to do calibration for seplos to report real capacity. It says I need to do full charge/discharge cycle. I can fully charge it but I cannot get it to fully discharge to battery low voltage warning. As I get ramaining capacity alarm first but there is still juice inside cells.
Have you set the BMS rated capacity for your pack in AH?

How did you do it? Was it automatic or did you use any of the 'calibrate' functions in Battery Monitor?
I've set battery rated capacity and Soc in software to whatever battery rating is and also remaining capacity alarm to 10%(I am not sure if this is needed but with original rating it does not discharge low enough, even with 10% my cell were over 3.1V)
Discharged the battery till it stoped, then charged it at constant rate at 20Amps overnight. Once some cells reached monomer high voltage alarm, the charge rate dropped to 10Amps but it still kep charging. At this point sock was 74% the remaining capacity was also was not close to what was rated . It still kep charging at 10Amps and once it reached the overvoltage alarm the charging stopped, both SOC and Remaining capacity got adjusted, and that was it.
I have been told by Seplos support that you have to set battery rating within 20Ah range of battery capacity otherwise calibration may fail.
If you get errors while trying to download new settingh then use Set all button at the top.
After it gets calibrated do not forget to change remaining capacity alarm

Sad to report that my SEPLOS BMS died this afternoon after only two months in service. Pretty sure it was manufactured before July so it's likely to be the diode issue.

Most likely D4 diode, was common on a batch made before July 2020

Thanks. is there any easy way to confirm with a multimeter?
Yes, easy-peasy. Put your multimeter on continuity or diode-test (usually the same setting). Put the leads across the diode. One way will not register anything, the other way will register something, usually 0.7-ish. If you get nothing at all both ways, the diode is open (blown). if the diode is registering both ways, it is shorted.

Mine seems shorted. I get a continuity beep both ways. On other diodes I register a reading one way and open the other. It's a bit tricky with the epoxy covering, you have to pierce it with the multimeter needles to get a proper reading.

Would you know the date range? I just received 2 new ones but the manufacture date looks to be 210506 !!
The date does not realy mater. I have received 6 and all of them were manufactured before August 2021. But I can see that the problematic diode was replaced.

seplos support a compatible pylontech canbus protocol, use by most inverter with canbus protocole, they also have specific protocole for growatt and other. just call them for confirmation.
As in call Seplos?

I’ve been running the 200 amp 48v for maybe 6 months now with zero issues, until today. All the light went out, nothing in the screen, no power coming through. Seems totally dead. The most power I ever put through it was maybe 50 amps and had nothing running today when it died. Is there anything I can try other than hit the reset button???
