Sent vendor a question on why tracking details were not showing up on the Aliexpress tracking page whereas third party sites showed progress and received a nonsensical answer. Opened a dispute with Aliexpress and now a few days later the third party sites that were showing process no longer recognize the number.... Will be contacting CC co. today for a refund.

Yeah - I was able to find another tracker that I had not used earlier for status and it reports the same details including time stamps even though I ordered mine roughly a week after yours. The response from the vendor that triggered my outreach to the CC last week was quote "what you trying to make trouble".

Some [or maybe even most] of the blame has to go to the buyer. Why would anyone be so gullible that they will be a $200 battery for $50 shipped to your home? Nobody ever forced you to buy their product. Is there even a split second that you don't think this is a scam?

The ones that are really bad are the sellers that are selling at a fair price and you get a bag of rocks.

Sure but what blame? I am not out of any money, CC just credited my account this am.. and went into the deal hopeful but realistic that his would fall apart. It was a risk that I was willing to try with this vendor and the pricing that was 'unbelievable' is not that far from the price that I paid almost 2 years ago with the orig. 280ah cells, $89/cell that I purchased via Alibaba. Shipping is another matter but with China in lockdown folks can get desperate to bring in some sales. caveat emptor
 
I'm glad that you were made whole again. Some have not. I just hope more people look into their habits and question every transaction before they put the cash down. Is it too good to be true? Like a poster above, there are 6.8% that would keep those sellers profitable.

My father taught me at an early age whatever happens, you are partially to blame. Look into what happened, learned from it, and don't put yourself into that position again. There are some things in life you have no control over, but most of the time, you have complete control. That is my point, if it's too good to be true, it probably is.
 
I just opened a dispute on the 2 orders I had placed, same bullshit everyone else is getting. I paid with my business CC via Paypal so feeling fine.
My thought was even if I got cells that were good for 230 instead of the nonexistant 320 I would be happy.

"They have not shipped. This is a scam several others I know have fallen for. You will do the right thing ASAP or do I dispute with Paypal or my credit card ?"

In short no. For whatever reason I just went by the 3rd party site tracking page vs. the Aliexpress page and when folks were posting the same tracking details down to the time stamp I got leery the order was real. So I forced the vendor to explain why the tracking number was showing up on the Aliexpress site as issued but NOT shipped. You know the rest from my earlier posts.
